As a qualified Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher and a member of the UK Reiki Federation, I have experience of treating many clients and helping them to deal with the stresses and strains of their everyday lives. This can manifest itself in many ways; feeling stressed, becoming ill, getting anxious or feeling that you can no longer cope. Reiki can help everybody to bring their life back in to balance.

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a gentle holistic healing technique. It originates from Japan and translates as "Universal Life Force Energy", an energy that is present in every living thing. Our own life energy often becomes low so Reiki is used to boost this and harmonise all levels of our being: emotional, physical, spiritual and mental. Reiki promotes relaxation, well-being and our bodies own natural healing process. Reiki is not attached to any belief system so it is suitable for everybody.

What does it involve?

Reiki is a non-intrusive healing technique; no pressure or manipulation is used. You remain fully clothed throughout the treatment and lie comfortably on a treatment couch (you have the option to sit for a treatment if you are unable to lie down). As you relax, I will gently transfer Reiki energy by placing my hands in a series of comfortable positions around you. You may experience a variety of calming feelings and sensations throughout the treatment and often you will leave with a renewed sense of well being, feeling extremely relaxed yet invigorated.
